Geographic Location Nyala South Locality is located in the southern part of Nyala City in South Darfur State, Sudan. It is one of the major urban localities in the state and serves as an important center for population, trade, and public services. IDP Camps Nyala South is a major host area for internally displaced people and includes some of the largest IDP camps in Darfur: Kalma IDP Camp – One of the largest IDP camps in Sudan, hosting a very large displaced population. Otash IDP Camp – A major displacement site near Nyala. Dereig IDP Camp – One of the oldest displacement sites in the area.
