Geographic Location Tulus Locality is located in the southern part of South Darfur State, Sudan, near the border with East Darfur State, approximately 140–150 km southeast of Nyala. It is an important rural locality with extensive agricultural and pastoral resources and serves as a trade link with surrounding areas. Cultivation of food crops such as millet, sorghum, and groundnuts. Livestock rearing (cattle, sheep, and goats). Local trade and small businesses. The locality has been affected by conflicts in Darfur, resulting in internal displacement and increased humanitarian needs. IDP Camps Tulus does not have major established IDP camps similar to those found in Nyala. However, it hosts displaced people within villages, host communities, and temporary gathering sites. Collective Shelters Temporary collective shelters have been established during periods of displacement, mainly in schools and public buildings. Their number changes according to humanitarian developments, and there is no fixed verified figure. Major Landmarks Tulus Town (the administrative center of the locality). Tulus Local Market, an important center for agricultural and livestock trade. Fertile agricultural lands surrounding the town. Natural grazing areas supporting livestock production. Humanitarian Importance Tulus Locality is one of the conflict-affected localities in South Darfur. It faces challenges related to displacement, food insecurity, and limited access to essential services, particularly healthcare, safe water, and education.
