Geraida Locality Emergency Rooms distributed emergency shelter assistance to families affected by the fire that broke out at Ambaloula IDP Camp in Geraida Locality, causing the destruction of hundreds of shelters and leaving many displaced families in urgent need of humanitarian support. The intervention was supported by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and reached 1,300 affected individuals as part of emergency efforts to provide essential assistance to households impacted by the disaster. The distributed items included tarpaulins, local shelter construction materials (grass and firewood), children’s clothing for both boys and girls, and women’s clothing, helping families rebuild temporary shelters and restore basic living conditions. Geraida Locality Emergency Rooms continue to work with humanitarian partners to deliver urgent assistance to displaced and affected communities and strengthen their ability to recover from crises.
