Kateila – 6 June 2026 The Kateila Humanitarian Emergency Room in South Darfur State launched a food basket distribution project for displaced families sheltering at Kateila Boys' Secondary School, with support from the South Darfur Emergency Rooms Coordination Council, as part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to assist vulnerable displaced communities and ease the burden of the humanitarian crisis. The project targeted 10 displaced families residing at Kateila Boys' Secondary School. The food baskets included essential food items aimed at improving food security and helping families meet their basic nutritional needs. This intervention is part of the broader humanitarian response carried out by Emergency Rooms in partnership with the South Darfur Emergency Rooms Coordination Council to support displaced populations and communities affected by the crisis across the state.
